1105 Masters Promoted As Lecturars

  • Date To Submit Application For State Awards Extended Till May 25
  • Summar Holidays From 1st June To 30 June

The Punjab Government has promoted 1105 teachers of various subjects as lecturers with immediate effect. A decision to this effect was taken by the Education Minister Punjab Mr. Sikandar Singh Maluka in a high level meeting of Education Department.

Disclosing this here today the Education Minister said that it was a long pending demand of master cadre and with this move Punjab Government would be able to fullfill the vacant posts of lecturers in the schools across the state. He said that the list of promoted masters has been uploaded on the official website of education department. He said that those posts which would be fall vacant due to these promotions, would be filled soon and orders had been issued to all District Education Officers (DEOs) to send the list of vacant posts in their districts to DPI and DGSE within a week.

The Minister said that the Punjab Government has also decided to extend the date to submit applications for state awards. He said that now teachers would be able to submit their applications till May 25.

The Minister said that with a view to educate those students who has left the school it has also been decided to call back all the 1400 special trainers after the completion of their training. He said that the remaining 494 special trainers would report to District education officers. Summer vacations in the schools would be started from June 1st to 30th, Mr Maluka added. In an other important decision it has also been decided to give minimum 36 periods to a school lecturers.
